Air Jordan 16 White / Metallic Navy (3/4 High Men)

The Air Jordan 16 (XVI) Original (OG) - White / Metallic Navy (3/4 High Men) were released on March 24, 2001, and retailed for $160. They feature a white leather upper with an extremely noticeable blue patent leather toe. The Jordan shroud features a white leather design as well as a navy mesh on the back. The shorud is basically a lace covering, which hides the laces, and actually seems to give the shoe a nicer, more casual look, which means you can wear them for different occasions. The Air Jordan 16 (XVI) combines aspects from previous Air Jordans. For example, you can see the patent leather located on the toe from the Air Jordan 11 (XI), the ribbed leather gaiter similar to the uppers of the Air Jordan 14 (XIV). Also, the 3/4 midcut from the Air Jordan 3 (III) (hence the name 3/4 High), and the mesh uppers from the Air Jordan 5 (V). The shoe also features a clear strip vertically down the heel counter, as well as a clear outsole. The sole seems to be a problem among critics, as they feel there is not enough rubber that, which would explain the lack of traction within the shoe.
